Hotels, restaurants and cafes were the focus of attention for architects participating in the HoReCa_Warsaw event organized by EduArch. The main object focused was Barceló Warsaw Powiśle hotel
The training took place on March 18 at the Barceló Warsaw Powiśle Hotel, which is part of the revitalized Powiśle Power Plant in Warsaw. This 4-star hotel has been attracting a lot of interest lately. It’s not surprising, since the project was carried out by a renowned architectural firm – APA Wojciechowski Architekci. About 60 architects attending the meeting had the opportunity to visit this unique hotel and see first-hand the solutions used in it. And there was a lot to see, as the facility is characterized by unique interiors. Hotel guests can enjoy, among other things, a restaurant offering international cuisine, a gym or a unique bar with a swimming pool located on the roof.
During the training a considerable amount of knowledge was provided, referring to the latest trends in equipment and design of HoReCa facilities. Agnieszka Tucharz, General Manager of the hotel, talked about the concept, implementation and functions of the Barceló Warsaw Powiśle hotel in a lecture. On the other hand, arch. Marta Wierusz of APA Wojciechowski Architekci expanded on the details of this modern hotel with the context of its location and complementing the revitalized Powiśle Power Plant.
In turn, Jacek Muzyka and Mieszko Krychniak from Alufire talked about Alufire’s modern glazed partitions, which guarantee fire safety and also have high acoustic parameters, and at the same time present modern design.
– It was a very content-rich meeting. There were a lot of young architects present, who actively participated and asked a lot of questions which is fantastic!” summarizes Jacek Muzyka from Alufire.
Alufire was a partner of the event. Alufire products have been used in many buildings related to the HoReCa industry. The portfolio includes, for example, Hotel Puro in Łodz or Hotel 1231 in Toruń. Interestingly, AVL Vision Line fire resistant partitions were even used by the studio APA Wojciechowski Architekci on their own headquarters on Kamionkowska Street in Warsaw.
