How to give a spark of life to old, historical buildings without losing their unique ambience and architectural features? If you search for such a project, check out Praga306 complex. The buildings situated in Warsaw, at the right bank of Vistula River, at Grochowska Street 306/308, once belonged to city’s Transport Equipment Manufacturing Plant. In 2017, the whole complex was revitalised with the help of Warsaw architecture office APA Wojciechowski Architekci under the tutelage of monument conservator.
The result? The whole complex looks brand new, elegant and representative with its beautiful façade. At the same time, it preserved its industrial character of the old factory at Praga. The project’s authors did their best to keep as many old, original elements of whole construction as possible. As for the part which was not under conservator’s care, it fits very well to the industrial look of the whole complex.
Praga306 offers nowadays over 10 000 square meters of office and service space. Brands such as Microsoft, Medicover, Skoda Store by Auto Wimar have already chosen this location for their main offices, including Praga306 project’s designers: architecture office APA Wojciechowski Architekci.
Alufire’s solutions for office buildings ensure every employee’s security. At the same time, they meet modern and unique architectural concepts – this is the equilibrium modern architecture needs the most.
The Solution
The main office for APA Wojciechowski Architekci consists of 4 floors and covers overall 1 200 square meters. The office was fitted with our fire protection system – Alufire Vision Line (AVL) and Alufire Classic Line Doors (ACL Doors) sound-insulating and emergency doors. What’s important, is that our solutions meet not only safety requirements but also fit the architectonic solutions implemented in the building. For example, some of the firewalls and sound-insulating walls have a trapezium shape. Alufire’s solutions include also modern ways to ensure security along with sleek looks, such as hidden door closers.
